CALLING ALL DEALERS TO GULF ON STAND C251

"The IFFE is always an ideal forum to meet dealers, discuss industry issues and the challenges facing the dealer market,” explains Keith Jewers, Director, Gulf GB, “this year, Gulf has even more news than usual to share with forecourt operators."

The recent tie–up between Gulf Retail and GB Oils has created a dynamic new operation in the UK, including 20 area managers and 900 service stations. With the Gulf brand destined to become a dominant one in the independent dealer market, the investment in IFFE is seen by Gulf GB as an important step in the communication process.

Gulf has also confirmed its attendance at the post-IFFE road shows in Manchester, Wakefield and Hinckley.

“We consider the IFFE a worthwhile investment,” continues Jewers, “the changes we have recently experienced present excellent solutions for dealers of all sizes and we must now communicate these across the UK.

“We have the brand, economics, supply, and tenure to be able to offer a serious alternative to the major suppliers. As a Group, we now have over 600 company owned tankers, enabling us to service an expanding customer base almost anywhere in the UK.”

These are exciting times for everyone associated with the Gulf brand and the company’s comprehensive support package for dealers has now been further enhanced with the availability nationwide of LPG – responding to accelerated UK demand - and major changes to its lubricants offering.

“We now have a lubricants strategy to equal our award winning shops consultancy programme,” enthuses Jewers. “The Gulf range is comprehensive, product quality is excellent and mark-ups are high with preferential rates available to RMI or PRA members.

“To improve dealer cash flow and reduce stock holdings, we have introduced a minimum order quantity of 60 litres comprising a mix of packaged lubes, anti freeze and ancillary products. Orders are delivered within 72 hours and 15 new products have been included within the range.

“Add to that the introduction of a new lubricant division with dedicated area managers possessing market knowledge, technical and merchandising expertise, all committed to increasing a dealer’s forecourt and workshop profitability.”
